Spring Dosa from Dakshinayan |
Dosa is a fermented crepe made from rice batter and black lentils. It is a staple dish in South Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Telangana. (Source : Wikipedia )
This is what Wiki says but for me Dosa is the perfect evening Snack to make me happy!
So while people are crazy about sweet crepes, I am totally in love with this spicy crepe called Dosa.
Dosa occupies one of the most important place in the food culture of Mumbai City.
The most amazing part is the kind of variety of Dosa's that you get in Mumbai is something not available in every city of India. From plain Sada Dosa to Paneer Chilli Dosa to Pizza Dosa to Chopsuey Dosa to Chocolate Dosa, the list is big! And all of them taste so good.
Since Dosa forms such an important part of my diet, I thought let me do a write up on it and share my Dosa Love with you!
And this was something that was there on my mind since very long but as they say everything has its own destiny and its own time so guess now is the time.
Below are some of my all time favourites which I keep on having regularly.

I can easily call it food for the soul.
The food tastes so good and is so pocket friendly. No wonder there is always a waiting at any point of the time and on Sunday's the waiting time runs up in hours.
Below in the pictures are the ones I loved the most. And please don't forget to have their Filter Coffee. I had given up Coffee for sometime but the fragrance of their Filter Coffee got me back to drinking Coffee, its simply Divine!
